Adebukunola Lala is a Professor of Monogastric nutrition (feed technology and animal biochemistry). She has worked extensively on improving animal production and safe animal products through the use of alternative feed ingredients and feed additives. All these were done to improve efficiency of production and food security for the increasing populace. Most of her studies center on exploration of alternative feedstuffs, the use of alternative to in-feed antibiotic growth promoters amelioration of the deleterious effects of feed contaminants in monogastric nutrition, diet manipulation for effective production and reduced environmental pollution, improvement of adaptive poultry specie through diets

 Also, she had worked on various nutritional studies involving Guinea fowl which is well adapted to the tropical environment as an alternative to broiler chickens. Professor Lala has been involved in teaching, extension activities and several research work published in reputable journals. She has worked on several projects as consultant, principal and co investigators supported by various funding agencies. She has collaborated with West Africa Agricultural Productivity Programme (WAAPP) on some projects. She is a fellow of Climate Impacts Research Capacity Leadership Enhancement (CIRCLE) programme
